Running 22th July - 26th August 2025 - Tuesdays & Wednesdays
For under 10's we have a family Art Club where children and their adults work together on projects, and drop off sessions available for the 8-12s and High Schoolers.
At Art Club we concentrate on one specific project based on our Artist of the week. We offer visitors a space to create and problem solve while learning about an international artist and themselves.
How much is a session?
The session is £6 per person for family groups and 6.50 for drop offs. All attendees aged 3+ require a ticket.

Q. Who is this for?
The whole family, this club sets a project based around our artist of the week. We do ART but its not just painting and drawing, our topics cover STEM subjects as well as things like politics and environmentalism. All our projects promote positive self-identity and belonging.

We want you to have a good old messy time without having to worry about the prep or art chaos at home. We have had great feedback from adults who've been to these sessions, this is a place where EVERYONE gets stuck in!!
Q. Which artists are on this summer?
We are looking at 4 different artists this summer:
-> Week 1 & 2 are based on Coral Morphologic a marine-biologist and DJ duo who create stunning mixed medium arts and work with NOAA and the university of Miami to help save the Coral reefs around the USA.
-> Week 3 is inspired by the vibrant work of Pacita Abad from the Philippines. Her work is socially engaged, touching on her experiences of immigration. From her travels she picked up traditional artmaking techniques including; quilted paintings, Korean ink-brush painting, Dominican Republic paint brushing, Indonesian batik, African tie-dye, Indian mirrors art, and Papua New Guinean arts using shells.
-> Week 4 & 5 are all about the work of Scandinavian Artist Olafur Eliasson. One week will concentrate more on his glacier and earth sciences art works, the other will be based on his love of mathematics and physics in art. His use of colour, shape, materials and structure makes him stand out as an artist, these weeks will be about building and experimenting with materials.
-> Week 6 looks at a British Illustrator called Kenya Josiah who creates striking portraits of daily life. We will be creating artworks that represent important parts our own lives.

Q. Do we make a lot of rubbish?
We work hard to keep reusing and recycling all our materials. All offcuts are chopped down into smaller and smaller usable pieces, and we are always looking for cool new ways to keep reducing our waste. After 6 weeks we have filled just 1 cardboard sack, and 1 black bin bag of rubbish. We've not filled a plastics bin up yet! We are dedicated to reducing our own, and our communities excess materials.

Q. Do we take Donations?
Yes! We take in craft and stationary donations to use at our clubs, or package into projects for local schools and groups :)
