20th July 2025 - 25th August 2025
We offer a very laid back hour for parents and children to create freely together. This runs Sundays and Mondays throughout the Summer Holidays!
Children's age guide 3-9 - all children to be accompanied by a paying adult. Visitors welcome to bring snacks and good coffees from local cafes, or help yourself to a cuppa or from our kitchen.
Q. Who is this for?
The whole family, activities for kids aged 3-9 and their adults. An artsy opportunity to connect with your younger children without having to worry about the prep or mess at home. We have had SUCH lovely feedback from adults who've been to these sessions, everyone gets stuck in here!
Q. What activities are provided?
We set up 5 to 6 different arts activities for visitors to rotate around during the session. Each table can take between 10-20mins to complete. We change set ups every week, you can expect a range of:
-> mark-making with paints, chalks, inks, pens or printing,
-> the open scrap store - challenge yourself to build from our collected 3D materials,
-> a collage based project made from our collected 2D materials,
-> sensory materials like slime, sand gardens or coloured foods,
-> something experimental, mixing colours, ingredients or making potions,
-> Sensory Trays for our younger children,
-> some basic STEM learning (great to keep little minds active in the summer break!)
-> lots of chances to improve fine motor skills and build art confidence.
Q. How much is a session?
The session is £6per person. All attendees aged 3+ require a ticket.
Pick up a stamp card to get your 10th visit for free, or book early and pick up 6 week pass for a 15% Summer discount.
Q. Is this session tied to the Artist of the week?
Our space will be decorated for the artist of the week, and some project tables may be lightly themed as well. Family Arts sessions are not as directed as art clubs where we complete bigger projects and tackle bigger learning concepts, touching on topics like the environment, politics or positive identity while building art skills.
Q. What are we doing to prevent loads of waste?!
We work hard to keep reusing and recycling all our materials. All offcuts are chopped down into smaller and smaller usable pieces, and we are always looking for cool new ways to keep reducing our waste. After 6 weeks we have filled just 1 cardboard sack, and 1 black bin bag of rubbish. We've not filled a plastics bin up yet! We are dedicated to reducing our own, and our communities excess materials.
Q. Do we take Donations?
Yes! We take in craft and stationary donations to use at our clubs, or package into projects for local schools and groups :)
Q. Are we a charity?
Pawb Arts CIC is a Community Interest Company, which means all of our profit goes back into helping the community. Our community focuses are Arts for Health, and Protecting the environment.
Note: Allergies
We do not use nut based materials in any of our projects and although bringing snacks is encouraged we ask to keep it a nut-free space. We may use other allergy ingredients like egg, flour, seeds and latex in our projects. Please let us know when you book if you have serious allergy requirements and we'll do our best to avoid them when we know you're coming.
